Pearce X-rays reveal no fracture

By David Bashore – Times-News writer

X-rays taken on Kameron Pearce’s right forearm late Friday night didn’t reveal a fracture, Jerome coach Joe Messick said Saturday.
Pearce left Friday’s game against Burley seconds after the opening tip when he landed hard on an alley-oop attempt after colliding with a Burley player on his way to the basket. He appeared to hit both his hand and his head on the ground, but Messick said Pearce’s arm was the greater issue.
Pearce and the Jerome boys basketball team are now in wait-and-see mode. Pearce may have another exam on Monday to check for a hairline fracture or anything else an X-ray might have missed if the injury shows no improvement.
Jerome next plays Wednesday at Wood River before wrapping up the regular season at Twin Falls on Friday.
